The Maaret Al-Numan district administration in southern rural Idlib organized a coordination meeting today Saturday in the post office hall in the city of Maaret with the participation of a group of local women to discuss the most important issues and topics supporting the activation of women's work and strengthening their role in the community

Bilal Makhzoom, head of relations at the district administration, stated that the meeting represents an important step in harnessing all available energies in Syrian society including women who possess significant potential He pointed out that during the meeting, participants identified individuals and resources to develop a plan to utilize these energies in a way that contributes to the advancement of society in Idlib Governorate and Syria as a whole

Aya Al-Alwan, a member of the executive office of the district administration and an activist in humanitarian and protection work, explained that the meeting discussed the challenges facing women in the community, especially working women, the obstacles to their effective participation in building society, and the need for early recovery from all challenges

Al-Alwan added that plans were developed to activate work and implement the recommendations of the meeting in the coming days and indicated that the meeting recommended holding such meetings regularly

It is worth noting that this was the first meeting of its kind in the district and was convened by the district administration in coordination and cooperation with the public relations office in Maaret Al-Numan
